FRESH FACES
I think after I had my first kid, the life kind of got sucked out of me. That was the moment I started looking extra tired. I would look in the mirror and feel like I just needed a kick in the butt. And it felt like it happened so fast. One day, I just looked older.
I had a baby during the pandemic, so I was really stuck at home a lot and wasn’t taking care of myself. When the world opened back up again, it was an eye-opening moment. I started interacting with people—friends, coworkers—and that was when I realized I needed to take time for my skin and for myself.
BEFORE
AFTER
My skin concerns were primarily wrinkles, like the 11 lines on my forehead, the fine lines around my eyes, puppet (or marionette) lines, and the lines around my lips. I also felt my skin was looking a little dull – all the brightness was gone.
I’d done at-home face masks and gone to facial spas for those hour-long treatments where they massage your face and put on lots of creams and serums. It was nice, but long-term, I felt like they weren’t doing anything. I went to my dermatologist and got an IPL treatment, but the cost compared to the results just didn’t add up for me.
When I heard about Skin Laundry, I was a little skeptical, I’ll admit, because I wasn’t sure the treatments could really make an impact. I was hopeful, though.
When I first came in, I was hoping my wrinkles would soften and that my makeup would stop just sitting on top of my skin, looking cakey. I wanted my skin to have that dewy, fresh look that I’d lost.
Fast forward a few months, and I’ve seen a huge difference. My fine lines have softened, my skin is brighter, and it’s less dull and dry. My makeup doesn’t just sit on top of my skin—it looks fresher and more natural.
My go-to Skin Laundry treatment is the Power Duo Facial – which starts with a laser facial, followed by a resurfacing facial–and I always add on the Fixer Enhancement for an added boost. The laser feels warm but completely painless while the resurfacing device feels these like these little pokes in your face, but nothing that is uncomfortable or intolerable.
My skin has improved in so many ways since the first time I went to Skin Laundry. The wrinkles around my eyes, lips, 11 lines, and puppet lines have softened so much, especially around my lips. I feel great, and I’m pleased that I don’t need to put needles in my face to see results. I love the idea of continuing with Skin Laundry because it’s attainable, and it’s something I can carve out time for once a month.
For me, Skin Laundry really made an impact. It made me feel good knowing I was finally taking care of myself and putting myself first. It’s always hard to find time for yourself, especially when you have kids, you’re working, and juggling life. Knowing that this was a quick 30-minute treatment, some quiet time where I was getting pampered, I loved it. It made me feel re-energized because I felt good and I looked good.
I think self-care is important as a mom because when you feel good, everyone around you feels good. If you’re feeling confident, bright, and excited, it really trickles down to your family and friends.
Every time I walk into Skin Laundry, I feel a sense of comfort. The team is incredibly inviting and always makes me feel like it’s my time. I always feel like I’m in great hands. My nurses are awesome and always mindful of my skincare goals, while tracking my progress.
What Skin Laundry has taught me about skincare is that it isn’t about doing it all—it’s about finding something good and sticking to it.
