This powered-up version of our Resurfacing Facial is designed to deliver accelerated, more noticeable improvements for those looking to tackle more stubborn skincare concerns and speed up their skin transformation journey.
As with the Skin Laundry Resurfacing Facial, the Power Resurfacing Facial uses nanofractional radio frequency (RF) technology, which rapidly transfers heat to the skin, stimulating collagen production and creating microchannels that enable greater product absorption. However, this powered-up version of our classic Resurfacing Facial delivers almost three times the energy for enhanced results.
Like all our Facials, this treatment is safe and effective for all skin tones and treats a host of skin concerns including acne scars and uneven skin texture, dullness, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles and rosacea.

What is a Power Resurfacing Facial?
The Power Resurfacing Facial uses a nanofractional RF resurfacing device that delivers the same benefits as CO₂ lasers, microneedling and chemical peels with less downtime while also being safe and effective for all skin types.
Nanofractional RF technology delivers heat through the skin's surface to the deeper layers using tiny pins. The body’s natural healing mechanism then works to repair these minuscule wounds by increasing the production of fibroblasts. In turn, this increases collagen and elastin production and improves signs of damage visible on the skin’s surface.

What skin concerns can the Skin Laundry Power Resurfacing Facial treat?
• Acne scars: stimulates collagen production to improve skin tone and texture.
• Hyperpigmentation and dark spots: reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation while also creating tiny channels to improve the delivery of topical treatments for conditions such as melasma and hyperpigmentation.

What to expect before, during and after a Power Resurfacing Facial
As with our classic Resurfacing Facial, we recommend avoiding active ingredients like Vitamin A, AHAs and Retinol for seven days prior to your treatment.
During the treatment, you will feel tiny pins on your skin followed by a little zap. Your skin will then feel warm, like a sunburn.
The treatment may be uncomfortable, but not painful. You will feel a mild heat, similar to the feeling of a sunburn. If you wish, you can apply an over the counter 5% Lidocaine numbing cream 30 – 60 minutes before your appointment. If you choose to do so, please inform your Skin Laundry provider and ensure the treatment area is thoroughly cleansed before your treatment.
Swelling will occur immediately after treatment for up to 72 hours. You will experience mild to moderate redness for up to 7 days. You can take oral antihistamines before your treatment as a preventative measure or apply a 1% hydrocortisone topical cream 72 hours after your treatment if desired.
Micro-crusting will occur post-treatment for up to seven days as part of the natural healing process. Allow it to slough off naturally and do not pick at or scrub the skin.
What Is the Aftercare Protocol for a Power Resurfacing Facial?
Immediately following the treatment, your Skin Laundry provider will apply our Hyaluronic Acid Serum to flood the skin with hydration. To boost your results, you should continue to reapply Skin Laundry Hyaluronic Acid Serum regularly to the treated area following your facial.
Continue your daily skincare routine at home using a gentle cleanser free of any active ingredients, Skin Laundry Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask for the next 72 hours.
Avoid heat exposure, such as hot showers, saunas or steam rooms, and vigorous exercise, for 72 hours following your treatment
For best results, avoid applying sunscreen and makeup for 72 hours following your treatment and avoid active ingredients, such as vitamin C, AHAs and retinoids, and physical exfoliation for one week following your treatment.
Doctor's Note
The Power Resurfacing Facial is not suitable for those with melasma-prone skin as it may increase the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. For clients with melasma, we recommend treatments such as the Signature Laser, Power Signature or Power Duo Facials. While melasma is not a strict contraindication, it carries inherent risks that should be fully understood before treatment. We also advise adding our Illuminator Enhancement post-treatment to help regulate melanin production.
