The first step of any Skin Laundry journey begins with our hero, award-winning, 15-minute Signature Laser Facial, and we want to ensure that all clients know what to expect before, during and after the treatment. As it turns out, the experience is not always what clients expect.

Your First Skin Laundry Appointment
“All first-time clients start off with a skincare consultation followed by our Signature Laser Facial,” says Del Campo. “This dermatologist-designed, medical-grade laser facial is painless and efficient—it treats multiple skin concerns in 15 minutes, and there’s no downtime. In fact, many of our clients fold a first-time treatment into their lunch hour and return to work with glowing skin.”
The Signature Laser Facial is our universal first-time treatment because it tackles all skin concerns—including acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and more—in one 15-minute session that’s safe and effective for all skin tones and types.
We also use this introductory appointment to assess how each client’s skin reacts to our technology and develop a customized treatment plan based on what our medically trained providers observe.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Your First Skin Laundry Appointment
Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure a smooth and successful visit for your Signature Laser Facial.
Before booking, please review our list of contraindications. These are conditions or factors that may make you ineligible for a Skin Laundry treatment.
Step 1: Book Your Appointment
Online: After reviewing the contraindications and confirming that you’re eligible for treatment, schedule your appointment on the Skin Laundry website.

Step 2: Receive Confirmation and Review Your Appointment Details
After booking your appointment, you will receive a text message and an email with important information about your visit. These messages will help you prepare and maximize the results of your treatment.
Inside the text message and email, you will find:
• Date and Time of Your Appointment: Add this to your calendar so you don’t forget your scheduled appointment.
• Link to Medical Intake Form: This form is essential for you to fill out before your visit. It will allow you to share your medical history and skincare goals with your Skin Laundry provider, saving time and ensuring you receive the best care.
Step 3: Fill Out Your Medical Intake Form
Complete the intake form provided in the confirmation message before your visit. This will help your provider understand your skincare history and make your appointment more efficient.
Step 4: Receive Reminder Message 1 Day Before Your Appointment
The day before your appointment, you’ll receive a reminder via text message. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify the clinic at least 12 hours in advance.
What Happens During Your First Skin Laundry Facial
To kick off your first appointment, your Skin Laundry provider will offer a 15-minute consultation and digital skin analysis. During this time, your provider will learn more about your skin-health history and goals and answer any questions you have. As a medical company, Skin Laundry is committed to learning about your skin history and health so that our medically trained providers can customize a treatment to address your skincare needs.
Unlike at a spa facial, you’ll remain fully clothed during the treatment, which takes place on a treatment bed in a private room. The facial is painless, and most clients describe the feeling of the laser as a mild warmth or tingling sensation.
During the service, our non-ablative lasers emit high-energy infrared light at a wavelength that penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, where the cause of many common skin concerns occur while leaving the surface layer of the skin unharmed.
How does laser technology work, exactly? The light energy emitted by the laser targets molecules in the skin, known as chromophores. The chromophores then absorb the energy and convert it into heat. The heat kills the bacteria that causes acne, treats vascular damage (and the accompanying redness) and breaks up excess pigmentation. It also stimulates new collagen production to reduce the appearance of acne scars or fine lines.

Immediately following the treatment, your Skin Laundry provider will apply a serum to boost your results and sunscreen to protect your skin.

Skin Laundry’s Post-Treatment Enhancements
At your first visit, you will also have the option to add a post-treatment Enhancement to your facial to maximize the results.

Aftercare for the Skin Laundry Signature Laser Facial: Steps to Maximize Results
• After your first Skin Laundry treatment, you can resume your typical daily activities immediately—with some exceptions. For maximum results, our providers recommend following the after-care instructions below:
• Avoid unprotected sun exposure and use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more as part of your daily skincare routine.
• Hold off on any physical exfoliation of the treated area for 24 hours.
• Hold off on any active topical products such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Glycolic Acid, et cetera for 24 hours.
• Keep up with a good skincare routine: Thoroughly cleanse your skin twice a day with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, sweat, makeup and bacteria. Use a targeted serum followed by moisturizer as part of your morning and nighttime routine.
